NO ARRESTS IN YUCCA VALLEY DUI CHECKPOINT JULY 14

The Yucca Valley Police Department stopped more than 1,300 cars during its DUI checkpoint Sunday, July 14, and made no arrests. According to a Sheriff’s Sergeant Rick Collins, 1,312 cars were stopped between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. at Church Street and Highway 62. Collins reports no DUI arrests were made, and only two drivers were cited for driving without a license. The checkpoint was funded by grants from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
