A new Yucca Valley planning commissioner will be appointed at tonight’s (March 1) meeting of the Town Council. Here with a review of the meeting’s full agenda is Reporter Jef Harmatz.
At tonight’s regular meeting, the town council is expected to vote on Councilmember Merl Abel’s nomination for the vacant seat on the town’s Planning Commission. Seventeen Yucca Valley residents applied for the seat, which has been open for several months. The newly appointed commissioner will serve until January 31, 2023. Also at tonight’s meeting, the Council will receive a budget report for the last six months of 2022, and vote on resolutions to amend the general fund.
