NEW YEAR’S EVE ROBBERY SUSPECT ARRESTED

One of the men suspected of robbing the Stater Brothers grocery store on New Year’s Eve was arrested in Riverside County last Thursday. According to Sheriff’s Sergeant Matt Yost, Christian Trujillo, 29, is accused of going in to the “new” Stater Brothers store on the east end of Yucca Valley about 7:30 p.m. New Year’s Eve with another man, identified only as being Hispanic. Yost said Trujillo and the other man walked out of the store with alcohol, and when a store clerk confronted them, Trujillo allegedly swung a knife at her, who then backed off, and the men fled. Christian Trujillo was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $200,000.
