You may have noticed the shelves at the Yucca Valley Wal-Mart are getting a little bare, as the store prepares for its relocation next week. The new Super Wal-Mart, at 58501 29 Palms Highway, next to Home Depot, plans to open its doors July 17 with a ribbon cutting at 8 a.m. The old Wal-Mart will close Tuesday, July 16, according to store employees. About 300 full-and part-time employees will work at the newly relocated store, which includes 85 jobs created by the relocation. Store manager Milagros Robinson began her Wal-Mart career in 2001 as a overnight stocker at this store. Like the old Wal-Mart, the new Super Wal-Mart will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
