A newly formed community theater troupe, Thought Theatre, has planned a premiere performance in Pioneertown. With your invitation, here’s Rebecca Havely…
There’s a new troupe of performers gearing up for their premiere offering, a staged reading of “Kennedy’s Children,” by playwright Robert Patrick. Founder and artistic director Miri Hunter formed an arts and education organization, Project Sheba, in 2002 and has produced several music, theatre and spoken word events. Thought Theatre productions are meant to spark thought provoking dialogue between performers and the community. “Kennedy’s Children” explores the influence of his death on the lives of his children. Performances are October 13 and 14 at 7 p.m. and October 15 at 4 p.m. The performance takes place at Studio B, located at 53722 Pioneertown Road. Take a right turn just before Pappy and Harriet’s. Hunter says the group is also planning a holiday show offering and that more productions will be planned in the near future.
Tickets for “Kennedy’s Children” are $10 general admission and $15 reserved seating. To purchase tickets, see www.projectsheba.com/thoughttheatre
