Twentynine Palms High School students interested in technology are invited to a meeting tomorrow. ROP Broadcasting student Elijah Grubbs has more about the S.T.E.A.M. Club……
A new program is starting up in Twenty-nine Palms High School, which will emphasize creative engineering. The new S.T.E.A.M. (or STEAM) Club will consolidate the old Science, Technology and Art clubs and create a new venue for students interested in all Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math interdisciplinary projects.
The club’s first collaborative project will involve the new VEX ROBOTICS system which was received through funds donated by the DODEA GRANT. With the club, the founder Mr. Howes hopes to generate a more techno-centric culture in the heart of TPHS. Officers will be elected March 12. All interested students should attend the lunch meeting in room 38.
