Outsider Art is in, as Joshua Tree’s Gallery 62 presents an offbeat, mind-bending art show, “Off Trail.” “Off Trail” showcases some of its most eclectic artwork—from mysterious and alluring assemblages to abstract mindscapes to monumental sculpture and other wild and often whimsical takes on the Mojave experience. The show, which opened Friday, features work by Kat Johnson, Robert Rootenberg, Cybele Rowe, James O’Keefe, Snake Jagger and Rik Livingston, The Artists LeFey, Grey and Khrysso. An opening reception is set for Saturday, March 9, from 5:30 to 8:30 at Gallery 62 in downtown Joshua Tree. The show will be on display through March. Gallery hours are Fridays and Sundays 12-3, and Saturday 9-3.
