NEW SHERIFF’S CAPTAIN A FAMILIAR FACE, MORE SHERIFF MOVES MADE

A familiar face will be coming back to the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station. Captain Dale Mondary will take over as commander for the Morongo Basin Sheriff Station effective April 19, As station commander, Mondary will also serve as the Chief of Police for the Town of Yucca Valley and City of Twentynine   Palms. Mondary is a 23-year-veteran of the Sheriff’s Department and a 21-year resident of Yucca Valley, with his wife Danette, and daughters Chelsea and Miranda. His oldest daughter, Drew, is a 2006 graduate of Yucca Valley High School. Mondary currently serves as the commander for the Sheriff’s Court Services and Civil Divisions. Mondary previously worked at the Morongo Station as a deputy, detective, sergeant, and lieutenant. Captain Mondary will be replacing Captain Rich Boswell who retired after more than 30 years of service Sheriff’s sergeants and deputies are also being shuffled. Sergeant James Porter is being assigned to the Highland Division, Sergeant Jason Radeleff is transferring to special investigations, and Deputy Robert Yglesias is moving over to Glen Helen. Taking their places are Sergeants Matt Yost, Robert Warrick, and Deputy Gerardo Jimenez Jr., who are all coming from West Valley Detention Center.
