On Thursday, January 28, the Morongo Unified School District announced the appointment of Dr. Karina Veas as the new principal for Joshua Tree Elementary School. The former Joshua Tree Elementary principal of 14 years, Dr. Daniele Snider, resigned to accept a position as the district’s director of innovation and technology. Since 2019, Dr. Veas has served as the vice principal at Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree Elementary Schools and the principal designee at Morongo Valley and Joshua Tree Elementary Schools. A virtual meet-and-greet event for Veas is scheduled for Monday, February 1, at 2:20 p.m. via Zoom.
