NEW JOSHUA TREE CRISIS TREATMENT CENTER OPENS

More than 150 people were in attendance at the grand opening of the Morongo Basin Oasis Crisis Residential Treatment Center in Joshua Tree. The ceremony included speeches from Department of Behavioral Health director Veronica Kelly and San Bernardino County Undersheriff Kent Dunlap. Third District Supervisor James Ramos also emphasized the need for the facility. “When somebody starts to go through a crisis or a traumatic event, there’s somewhere that you can go. This building represents hope in our community.” The 10,500 square-foot facility features 16 beds and will provide short-term, recovery-based treatment options for individuals age 18-59 for up to 90 days.
