A new art exhibition will open Saturday, February 2, at BoxoHouse in Joshua Tree. “Queering the Landscape,” by Ben Cuevas of Los Angeles, depicts the forms and textures of the Joshua Tree landscape using knitting and macramé to depict the land in an other-worldly style, much like gays, minorities, and transgender people who often exist on the fringes. An opening reception will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 2. The show continues Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. and by appointment. BoxoHouse is located at 62732 Sullivan Road in Joshua Tree.
