Little Church of the Desert in Twentynine Palms is chartering a Cub Scout unit for boys and girls in first through fifth grades. Little Church of the Desert currently provides meeting space for Boy Scout Troop 229, which is chartered by the Kiwanis Club of Twentynine Palms. An organizational meeting for parents and children interested in joining Cub Scouts is planned for 6 p.m. Monday, March 15, in the Community Hall of Little Church of the Desert at Ocotillo and Veterans Way in Twentynine Palms.
