Tuesday night, the County Board of Supervisors named Dawn Rowe of Yucca Valley to the 3rd District seat abandoned by James Ramos. Rowe, a former Yucca Valley Town Council member and mayor, resigned her position as Field Rep to Congressman Paul Cook to take the appointment. In a statement sent to Z107.7, Rowe indicated said she is ready to go to work, saying, “It’s an honor to be selected by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors for appointment to represent the Third District, she said. Dozens of well-qualified candidates applied for the position, and I know the decision wasn’t an easy one for the members of the Board. I look forward to working with my new colleagues to further the County’s priorities over the next two years.” While she is getting up to speed, Rowe reminded residents, “It’s important that Third District residents know they can still obtain constituent services during the transition period that will take place over the next few weeks. It’s a privilege to serve the people of the Third District. I encourage constituents to contact me directly with any ideas or suggestions on how to improve our County government.”
