With an eye toward a brighter, busier future, several business owners in Twentynine Palms have formed the Downtown Business Association (DBA) in order to “improve the atmosphere, appearance, and mix of businesses in downtown Twentynine Palms.”
President Michael Usher states that the group will be “instrumental” in shaping the evolution of the downtown businesses landscape. DBA now has eleven members making up its’ board and officers, bylaws and a budget have been determined. The group hopes to plan events at the newly constructed Project Phoenix site in downtown Twentynine Palms.
Goals of the DBA include re-energizing the city’s downtown scene through unique events and activities aimed at both locals and tourists. The group will also aim for aesthetic upgrades, enhanced city branding, and attracting diverse business investments while fostering a more business-friendly environment.
The DBA is hosting a “Rediscover 29” presentation on Monday, January 17, at 10:00 a.m. at the Grnd Squrl, 73471 Twentynine Palms Highway.
