NEW BOARD MEMBER NAMED TO JOSHUA BASIN WATER DISTRICT

A new director has been selected to serve Joshua Basin Water District. It happened last night and Z107.7 News Reporter Mike Lipsitz was there …
At last night’s special meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District, directors unanimously choose Tom Floen from among five candidates to fill the board seat left vacant by the passing of Victoria Fuller. A retired law enforcement officer out of Los Angeles, Floen retired to Joshua Tree many years ago and has been a regular fixture at District meetings in recent years. Described as even-handed and well respected, Floen currently serves on the District’s Citizen’s Advisory Committee. Floen took the oath of office immediately following the board decision. In other business, the board voted in support of an Association of California Water Agencies policy on Bay and Delta flow requirements. Director Rebecca Unger abstained.
