The Marine Corps will hold a ground-breaking ceremony Tuesday, April 22, for a 45,000-square foot, two-story Adult Medical Care Clinic aboard the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms. The $18.7-million project will house the Deployment Health and Mental Health clinics, as well as audiology, pharmacy, radiology, laboratory and physical therapy services, which are currently housed in trailers on the base. The old Adult Medical Care Clinic building has been in service for 60 years and was originally built as a dental clinic. It serves a thousand active-duty Marines and sailors per month. The new clinic is expected to open in January 2015.
