NESTING RAPTORS CLOSE CLIMBING AREA IN JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK

A climbing area in Joshua Tree National Park has been temporarily closed to protect nearby nesting raptors. The “Towers of Uncertainty,” about 2 ½ miles south of Geology Tour Road, will be closed until the birds have abandoned their nest. The closure is not anticipated to last beyond June 15.
