A dispute between neighbors ended up with one man being arrested in Joshua Tree. About 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, deputies were called to the 1900 block of Starlight Road. The victim said he rents a trailer on the property. He told deputies that on Monday, his landlord’s boyfriend, Timothy O’Kelley, 44, told him he needed to pack up his belongings and leave right then. The victim’s lease was up Saturday, October 3. The victim said O’Kelley became angry and started calling him names and said he was going to beat him up. The victim also said that O’Kelley entered his trailer without permission and hit him several times with a closed fist, causing scratches to his forearm and knee. The victim said he was in fear for his life and thought O’Kelley was going to kill him. On Wednesday, the victim said O’Kelley came back, this time holding a golf club, and threatened him again. Deputies learned that O’Kelley is out on bail for allegedly intimidating a witness in Santa Ana. Timothy O’Kelley was arrested for investigation of making criminal threats and burglary, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
