Native plants are the foundation of our desert ecosystem. You can purchase one for your home ecosystem this Saturday, April 20, at the Mojave Desert Land Trust’s popular spring native plant and salvage sale. Reporter Mike Lipsitz pulls out his rusty shovel…
More than 40 species of native plants will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The selection includes desert almond, white sage, apricot mallow, Joshua trees, and Mojave sandwort. All plants were grown on site in the Mojave Desert Land Trust’s nursery on the north side of the highway across from Joshua Tree Memorial Park. A volunteer fair, and MDLT salvage sale will accompany the plant sale. Plants are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. No plants can be reserved ahead of the sale.
