Joshua Tree National Park recently completed taking Public comment for a climbing management plan. Key issues were the impact of social trails, bolt use in wilderness, the protection of cultural sites, the future of bolting in the park, and limits on commercial user groups, among others. Taking the lead in the process was Park Science and Resource Chief and Acting Superintendent Jane Rodgers. Rodgers will be the guest on the Z107-7 “Up Close” show tomorrow (Friday, June 25) at 10:05 am. Call-in and ask questions about the climbing process, the affects of “bouldering,” and more.
