The theme for this year’s National Day of Prayer tomorrow, Thursday, May 3, is Unity. The Twentynine Palms Ministerial Association will hold three services; the first service is set for 7 a.m. followed by a second service at noon. Both will be held at the flagpole in Veterans’ Park on Adobe Road in Twentynine Palms. A free barbecue will be held following the noon service.
The third service will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Gospel Fellowship Christian Center Church, 5898 Adobe Road in Twentynine Palms. For more information, contact LeeAnn Clarke at 760-367-3840.
Desert Christ Park in Yucca Valley will also hold a prayer service tomorrow. The park is available from dawn to dusk for all prayers, and from 10 to 2, materials will be provided for participants to make a prayer flag. The flags will be hung throughout Desert Christ Park. Desert Christ Park is located at the corner of Sunnyslope Drive and Mohawk Trail in Yucca Valley.
