Ruled “suspicious circumstances”, we have little information on human remains found in Landers. According to a Sheriff’s Department press release, deputies responded to a call on Tuesday (October 19) in the desert area near Mikiska Blvd. and Highway 247 in Landers following a report of a found body. Deputies conducted an extensive grid search of the area and located the remains in the vicinity of an illegal outdoor marijuana grow. Members from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) responded to eradicate the grow and a team from the Homicide Detail arrived on scene to process the human remains. The investigation is still ongoing and Z107.7 News will provide updates as they come in.
