MVCSD to discuss grant writing and fund development services for Morongo Valley

The Morongo Valley Community Services District Board of Directors will hold their regular meeting tonight (January 21) in Covington Park’s multipurpose room.

For the meeting’s agenda, the MVCSD Board of Directors will consider grant writing and fund development services from K&M Enterprises, for twenty hours a month at $95 per hour, totaling $22,800 annually. Staff will discuss creating an educational fund to send district employees to paramedic school, to explore how the district could support workplace development and address future staffing needs.

The Morongo Valley Fire Department is requesting approval to issue $50 to $100 prepaid Visa cards to Company Officers for small, time-sensitive purchases, with all receipts reviewed by the Fire Chief or District Manager. The audit draft from Smith, Marion, and Co. will be reviewed, followed by the Mid-Year Budget review. Finally, because the CSD’s longtime legal counsel has resigned, it is recommended the Board discuss, review, and approve moving forward with a new attorney.

That’s beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Covington Park, located at 11165 Vale Drive in Morongo Valley.
