“Company B—On the Air” is a tribute to the golden age of radio with songs
and great comedic bits reminiscent of the era. Playwright/Director Ben
Costello and John Babrowski play the comedic duo, “Slats Smith and
Wilbur Brown.” Dennis “Easy” Boos plays the radio announcer. Songs in
the style of Frank Sinatra, Kate Smith, Bing Crosby and the Andrew Sisters
will come to life with the large cast of over 20 singer/actors made up of
Theatre 29 veteran favorites and newcomers as well.
“Company B-On the Air” runs two weekends only, January 11-12,
and January 17-18-19. The curtain rises Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m., Sunday matinees are at 2:30. Tickets are $10 to $15 and are available at theatre29.org or by calling 760-361-4151.
