For the second day in a row, Morongo Unified School District has cancelled classes for Thursday, September 12, on account of air quality conditions. Smoke from the Line Fire, burning in nearby mountain communities, has caused hazardous conditions in the Morongo Basin.
While our community is not facing any evacuation orders or warnings, classes have been cancelled owing to the poor air quality. The MUSD made the announcement on Wednesday night (September 11) just after 9 p.m.
Stay tuned to Z1077 for updates on the Line Fire.
