As the school year winds down, the Morongo Unified School District’s Nutritional Services department wants to remind high desert families that they will continue to serve breakfasts and lunches all summer long, and all completely for free.
The program, run by the MUSD in conjunction with United States Department of Agriculture and the National School Lunch Program, will provide all children from ages 0 to 18, with a free lunch and breakfast. There is no fee for the food, and no paperwork is required.
The meals will distributed Monday through Friday starting June 15, at various locations and times throughout the Morongo Basin. Students must be present to receive a meal.
The Nutritional Services department will be offering a combination of breakfast and lunch to the general public, ages 0 – 18, at the following locations and times:
Joshua Tree Elementary
June 15 to July 28, Monday – Friday
