MUSD District-wide Science Fair results

The Morongo Unified School District hosted a district-wide science fair for students in 4th through 8th grade. Each elementary and junior high or middle school hosted their own individual science fair, with the best projects moving on to compete district wide.

The MUSD provided a list of the winning projects from Tuesday’s science fair. 

4th Grade

  • 3rd Place – OES Does Baking Soda Affect the Water Temperature? By Blake Kropacek
  • 2nd Place – CES True Cleaning Supply by Mathew Young
  • 1st Place – ONES Soggy Cereal by Emily Bramlett

5th grade

  • 3rd Place – LES Milk Plastic by Penelope Penalva
  • 2nd Place – ONES Place Squeaky Clean Chemistry by Jazon Ozment
  • 1st Place – JTES Airplane Research by Madison Edwards

6th grade

  • 3rd Place – FHES Slam Dunk Science by Logan Jung
  • 2nd Place – TIE LES Fizzy Reactions and the Science Behind Creating the Perfect Bath bomb by Jade Tamayo
  • ONES Uncovering the Dirtiest Places Around the School by Cameron Claire
  • 1st Place – FHES Flour Changes Everything by Zachary Coulson

7th grade

  • 3rd Place – LCMS Eww Bacteria by Alyssa Calhoun
  • 2nd Place – LCMS Gas Balloons by Liam Anderson and Talon Westover
  • 1st Place – LCMS Powered by Produce Savanna Davis and Llithya Betancourt

8th grade

  • 3rd Place – LCMS Hidden Germs by Aaliyah Young, Sofea Beauliea, Sa’myah Thomas
  • 2nd Place – LCMS Break it Down, by Irie Jarrett, Isabel Medina, and Rosie Ramirez
  • 1st Place – LCMS Which Age Group Has the Ability To Remember Dreams the Best, by Angelique Escareno, Audry Hassing, Braylon Robson
