The Morongo Unified School District Board of Trustees will meet tonight at Joshua Tree Elementary School with closed session beginning at 6:00 and open session beginning at 7:00 p.m. During closed session, the board will conference with legal counsel, in addition to holding labor negotiations with the Morongo Teachers Association and the California School Employees Association. During open session, the board will vote to adopt the revised School Plan for Student Achievement for La Contenta Middle School. They will also vote to increase the micro-payment threshold for the school district from $10,000 to $50,000, as well as voting to request proposals for an independent auditing service. Several policies will also be reviewed during the meeting, including the district COVID-19 mitigation plan as well as the updated policy for staff development in the areas of social-emotional learning and student well-being.
