The Morongo Unified School District Board of Trustees will hold a special joint meeting with the Copper Mountain College Board of Trustees and a regular session meeting tonight at Joshua Tree Elementary School. The joint meeting with CMC will begin at 5:00 p.m., and the trustees will discuss CMC transfer degrees, career technical education, and student financial support, among other discussion items. Afterward, the MUSD board will hold their regular meeting with a work-study session beginning at 6:00 to review the Second Interim Financial Report for 2021-2022, and open session beginning at 7:00. During open session, the board will vote to certify that the district can meet its financial obligations for the current fiscal year. They will also vote to approve bids for the Yucca Valley High School sewer improvements project and for re-roofing Friendly Hills Elementary School, in addition to approving the 2022-2023 School Attendance Calendar and voting on a notice of intent to provide an independent audit of the district.
