MURRIETA POLICE TIGHT-LIPPED ABOUT HUMAN REMAINS FOUND IN JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK

Z107.7 News has learned that the human remains found by a park ranger in Joshua Tree National Park on the morning of June 2 belong to a resident of Murrieta. The case was originally taken over by Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, who relinquished the case to the Murrieta Police Department on Wednesday, June 6. Murrieta Police Lieutenant Ron Driscoll said the death is “suspicious,” and due to a very “fluid and active investigation,” added that he could not release any additional information about the victim’s gender, age, identity, cause of death, or how long ago the victim may have died.
