The murder trial of Brock Myers continues this week. Myers, 25, is accused of shooting and killing his roommate, 26-year-old Steven Kohus, in the head in March 2014. Both Myers and Kohus were corporals in the Marine Corps attached to 1st Battalion, 7th Marines at the Twentynine Palms Combat Center at the time of the shooting. Myers maintains that the shooting was accidental and occurred while the two men, who were allegedly drunk, were horsing around at their home on Saladin Avenue in Twentynine Palms. Last week, the prosecution questioned nine witnesses and Sheriff’s deputies.
