MULTIPLE BURGLARIES REPORTED IN TWENTYNINE PALMS AND YUCCA VALLEY

More burglaries and attempted burglaries were reported in Twentynine Palms Thursday. According to Sheriff’s reports, a resident in the 6600 block of Sherman Hoyt Avenue reported that a surveillance camera taped a suspect who looked into the windows of her vehicle parked in her driveway just after 1 a.m. When the home’s motion sensor lights turned on, the suspect fled southbound toward Old Dale Road. A homeowner in the 5800 block of Bagley Avenue reported that sometime over the Christmas-New Year’s holidays, her home was broken into and guns, electronics, and jewelry was stolen. Mail was stolen from multiple mailboxes in the 7200 block of Nicholson Drive. And a 2010 Ford Fusion was broken into while it was parked in a driveway in the 7300 block of Cedar Drive. And at least five burglaries and attempted burglaries were reported in Yucca Valley Thursday as well. A business in the 56900 block of 29 Palms Highway reported that a w-wheel tow dolly for cars was stolen from the parking lot Wednesday night. Garages to homes in the 7900 block of Inca Trail and 7300 block of Cibola Trail were broken into, and a red Honda quad, car jack and other items were stolen from the home on Inca Trail. Two quads were stolen from the 6300 block of Marvin Drive, and windows were broken at a home in the 7700 block of Shawnee Trail. A home in the 5500 block of Highland Trail was ransacked and televisions were stolen.
