A major drug lab was raided in Morongo Valley yesterday. Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies were following an investigation that led them to a home in the 50700 block of Laurel Lane in Morongo Valley about 10:40 a.m. and when they arrived, they found honey oil and butane in the home’s garage. They called San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Fire Department, the fire department’s Haz Mat team, and Morongo Valley Fire for assistance. Investigators found honey oil in stainless steel containers, as well as butane in three gas cylinders. It’s unknown at this time if there were any arrests in connection with the drug lab, however, booking records indicate U.S. Marshalls arrested James Wallis, 34, at the scene. James Wallis was booked into the Central Detention Center.
