A moving truck caught fire and rolled across the neighborhood, threatening homes in Twentynine Palms.
On Wednesday (July 17) at around 10:20 a.m., San Bernardino County Fire received a report of a moving truck that had caught fire at a home on Mojave Ave near Gorgonio Ave in Twentynine Palms.
County fire arrived to find a well-involved engine fire that was spreading into the truck’s cargo space. They were joined by an engine from the Marine Base and during their fire-fighting efforts, the truck began leaking fuel down the driveway which caused the fire to spread.
As the fire spread, County fire reports that the moving truck rolled across the street and into a neighbor’s wooden fence. As more homes became threatened by the turn of events, additional engines were called in.
The fire was extinguished with minimal damage to the home. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
