The City of Twentynine Palms Recreation Department continues with their event, Movies in Luckie Park, with the movie “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” on Thursday, June 26. Picking up right where it left off in the first movie, this sequel is about a young boy named Flint who learns that his water-to-food machine is not only still functional, but it’s also started cross-breeding animals with food. Now, in order to prevent a growing army of “foodimals” from escaping isolation on an island and wreaking havoc on the mainland, Flint and his loyal group of friends will have to do battle with such delicious, but deadly hybrids, such as the ferocious tacodiles, slithering apple pie-thons, and vine-swinging shrimpanzees. This movie will be shown at approximately 8:30 p.m. at the north side of the racquetball courts in Luckie Park in Twentynine Palms.
