One man was killed and three people were injured in a single car rollover crash in Landers early Saturday morning. According to Fire Captain Jason Moore, at about 12:28 a.m., a Dodge pickup was traveling on Belfield Boulevard in Landers at a high rate of speed when it failed to negotiate a turn at Young’s Freeway and overturned several times. The driver, a 38-year-old resident of Mountain View, California, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected; he was pronounced dead at the scene. The three passengers, who were wearing seatbelts, suffered minor injuries. Moore said if the driver had been wearing a seatbelt he probably would have survived the crash. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
