A lone motorcycle rider was found dead east of Twentynine Palms yesterday. The county coroner says at about 2:49 p.m., the CHP responded to the area of State Route 62 at mile marker 111 in the rural area of Vidal Junction on a solo motorcycle accident. The decedent, a 50 year-old male from Mount Vernon, Washington, was confirmed deceased at that time. His name will be released when he is positively identified. The Barstow CHP is investigating the accident.
