MOTORCYCLIST FOUND WITH UNTRACEABLE GUN

A Palm Springs man was arrested in Yucca Valley Friday (March 19) when he was found with a loaded, untraceable gun. About 6:30 p.m., a deputy stopped a motorcycle on Highway 62 near Camino del Cielo for having an unlicensed vehicle. The deputy noted that the rider, Robert Prohoroff, 51, is a convicted felon with multiple drug convictions. Prohoroff was also wearing the colors of the Vago motorcycle gang. During a search, the deputy found an untraceable firearm. Robert Prohoroff was arrested for investigation of being in possession of a dangerous weapon, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
