MOTORCYCLE RIDER INJURED IN TWENTYNINE PALMS CRASH THURSDAY

A motorcyclist was injured Thursday when he attempted to avoid a driver who turned in front of him. According to a Sheriff’s report, a woman was driving her Chevrolet Aveo eastbound on Two Mile Road near Palo Verde Avenue about 4:30 p.m. when she braked suddenly to make a left-hand turn without signaling her turn. A motorcyclist riding behind her attempted to avoid hitting the car by moving into the westbound lane, but he hit the car when it turned in front of him. The rider was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
