MOTORCYCLE RIDER INJURED IN CRASH ON MORONGO GRADE

A motorcycle rider escaped serious injury Wednesday evening following a crash near the Desert Hot Springs fire in the Morongo Grade. According to the California Highway Patrol, 26-year-old Julian Wilson was riding his motorcycle eastbound, just west of the county line in the Morongo Pass, when he says he was cut off by a big-rig truck. The rider suffered cuts, bruises, and lots of road rash, and was taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center in a private vehicle.
