Deputies are investigating a case of shots fired at a motel in Twentynine Palms. Motel employees called deputies to the 72500 block of 29 Palms Highway about 1:30 Thursday afternoon to report a bullet hole in a wall. Deputies discovered that the bullet traveled from one room into the adjoining room, through a trash can, and lodged into the wall below the bathroom sink.
