A woman who was found dead Sunday morning was identified Wednesday as a 28-year-old Morongo Valley resident. The Riverside County Coroner’s office said Stephanie Dixon, 28, was found in Mission Creek Wash, west of Indian Avenue in Desert Hot Springs, about 7:47 a.m. Sunday morning. The Desert Hot Springs police department has called her death “suspicious” and is investigating.
