MORONGO VALLEY WOMAN ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY

A Morongo Valley woman has been arrested, accused of burglary. According to a Sheriff’s Department press release, deputies responded to the 1000 block of Golden Slipper Street in Landers shortly before 11 a.m. on Monday (January 3) for a call of suspicious activity. The reporting party gave additional information that several subjects were seen in and out of a residence not belonging to them. Arriving deputies conducted an area check and security check of the home in question when they contacted Sataira Mason, 36. Mason reportedly fled from deputies while they found a stolen off-road vehicle located in the backyard that had been reported a few hours prior. After further investigation, the press release states that deputies found additional stolen items. Sataira Mason was subsequently arrested for investigation of burglary and possession of stolen property and booked into the West Valley Detention Center with her bail set at $50,000.
