MORONGO VALLEY WOMAN ACCUSED OF EMBEZZLING FROM WALMART

A Morongo Valley woman was arrested Tuesday, accused of embezzling from Walmart. Deputies were called to Walmart at 3 p.m. Tuesday by a loss-prevention employee who said that Kailah Thomas, 31, had been activating gift cards since November, and using the cards to make purchases. The total loss is estimated between $1200 and $1500. Kailah Thomas was arrested for investigation of grand theft, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $50,000.
