A Morongo Valley man was arrested Thursday night, accused of being in possession of a stolen vehicle. According to a Sheriff’s report, a witness called to report that a possible stolen SUV was parked behind a home in the 9400 block of T Circle in Morongo Valley. Responding deputies determined the vehicle was stolen, and that the engine had been partially removed from it. After an investigation, deputies located David Franco, 27, in the 9800 block of Terrace Drive in Morongo Valley. Authorities allege that Franco was at the scene of the stolen SUV and knew the vehicle was stolen. David Franco was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a stolen vehicle, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
