Morongo Valley man arrested with suspected meth, heroin, mushrooms, pills and paraphernalia

A Morongo Valley man with several active warrants was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs in Yucca Valley.
On Saturday (March 16) just after midnight, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Twentynine Palms Highway and Indio Avenue in Yucca Valley. Deputies said that the vehicle had multiple code violations and identified the driver as Brien Kelber, a 55 year-old resident of Morongo Valley. Deputies determined that Kelber had three active warrants for his arrest, mostly related to drug charges. Deputies say their search of the vehicle recovered multiple bags of suspected methamphetamine, heroin, psilocybin mushrooms, unidentified pills and drug paraphernalia. Kelber was taken into custody.
Brien Kelber was arrested for investigation into possession of controlled substances with prior convictions and his active warrants. He is being held at the West Valley Detention Center on $100,000 bail.
