MORONGO VALLEY MAN ARRESTED FOR DRUG POSSESSION AFTER WAVING GUN AT VICTIM

A Morongo Valley man was arrested Monday, following a report that he was waving a handgun around and threatening a neighbor. According to Sheriff logs, deputies responded to the 50100 block of Aspen Drive in Morongo Valley on January 31, just before 9 a.m. when a victim called to report that a man they didn’t know had come over to their property and harassing them about a fence and waiving a handgun around while telling the victim that the fence needs to be removed. Arriving deputies conducted an investigation and located the suspect, Paul Chun, 49, at his residence. The deputies report that Chun was uncooperative with the investigation and during a search, deputies located a revolver, two pairs of brass knuckles, and drugs. Paul Chun was subsequently arrested for investigation of a felony drug charge and then booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $50,000.
