This Saturday morning it’s pancakes and Pontiacs in Morongo Valley’s Covington Park. Head down for the annual Firefighters’ Auxiliary breakfast served in the Covington Park multipurpose room. $8 buys you pancakes with eggs, sausage, fresh apple cider and orange juice or coffee. Children under 12 get smaller portions for $4. After breakfast check out the 2nd Annual Car Show hosted by the Morongo Valley Professional Firefighters Local 5028. Both breakfast and the Car Show open at 7:30 a.m. with awards given in the pavilion at 2:30 p.m. Beer and wine will be served under the pavilion during the day while the “Ghostlight Trio” performs live. The Morongo Valley Art Colony will also be open in the community building. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Morongo Valley Fire Department.
