MORONGO VALLEY FIREFIGHTERS ASSIST IN BIG-RIG ROLLOVER WEDNESDAY

A big rig tanker trailer rolled over near the bottom of the Morongo Grade Wednesday (September 1) sending the rig down a 20’ embankment. According to Morongo Valley Firefighter Paramedic Nate Garcia, fire crews from Morongo Valley were called out around 4:30 p.m. for the report. The driver reportedly lost control of his brakes and, when attempting to slow the vehicle on the shoulder, lost control and rolled the vehicle and trailer into the ravine. There were no fires or injuries reported from the incident.
