The Morongo Valley Community Services District meets at 7 p.m. tonight in the Covington Park Community Building. Among the business items on tonight’s agenda, directors are expected to set a workshop date to look at Fire Department staffing, or more specifically, to consider staffing cuts as discussed during the June budget meetings. Also tonight, the board will likely establish an ad-hoc committee and call for nominations for the annual Chuck Osborne Volunteer of the Year award, review vacation policy, and discuss possible return of the Fire Department’s water tender and brush patrol vehicles.
